Supporting CoMO's Global Conference: Vaccine Session

posted Jan 28, 2020, 5:00 AM by Emily Koenig
Vaccines are the most effective method of preventing meningitis. Where vaccination rates are high, cases drop. Despite the benefits of vaccination, a minority of people doubt their safety and effectiveness, which has unfortunately created pockets of low vaccine uptake and the resurgence of diseases. Meningitis advocacy groups around the world work hard to inform people about the advantages of preventing disease and the risks of not vaccinating.

We supported a session at the Confederation of Meningitis Organisations’ 2019 Global Conference which taught patient advocacy groups how to hold constructive discussions with vaccine hesitant individuals and inform them of the evidence supporting vaccination.
